How to Leave a Podcast Review on Apple Podcasts or iTunes

Just like you might leave a review for a great experience you have with a business, you might want to leave a review for a podcast you love. And, just like consumers check out reviews before making a purchase or choosing a service provider, listeners check out reviews for podcasts to determine whether or not they want to listen.

So, if you love a podcast, it’s always great to leave a review! But, how do you do that, exactly?

Follow these four steps to leave a podcast review on Apple Podcasts or iTunes:

1. Find the podcast on Apple Podcasts/iTunes

You can do this by conducting a search for the podcast on iTunes or your Podcast app on an Apple device or by visiting the podcast’s website and going to iTunes from there.

2. Find Ratings & Reviews and Click Write a Review

There’s a button right next to Details on desktop or if you scroll a bit on your mobile device, you’ll find the Ratings & Reviews section. Once there, you’ll see a button that says Write a Review. Click it!

3. Write Your Podcast Review

As part of your review, you’ll want to include the star rating, title, and review text. Your review must include a rating and title, but the podcast review content portion is optional, yet encouraged. You might want to include the reasons you enjoy listening, a particular episode that inspired you, or a kind word for the hosts.

Many podcasts will read reviews on the show, so there’s a chance you could get a shout out!

4. Submit Your Review

Once your podcast review is ready to go, send it off! You’ll have to include a nickname to be displayed before submitting your review, but once you find one that’s not taken, you’re good to go.
